My Approach to Treatment as a Therapist in Los Angeles
Many people hold a common misconception that therapy is simply talking about one’s problems. While an awareness of the issue is important, I believe it is only a small piece of our work together.
I take a results-focused approach to therapy. Instead of dwelling on your problems, we’ll put energy into finding solutions.
I believe that you already hold the capacity to move past your issues. Together, we’ll expand upon your strengths and incorporate new coping strategies.
Our work together will be an entirely collaborative process. While I have extensive education and experience in my field, you are the expert in yourself.
Of course, I provide my expert guidance and support throughout the whole process. However, I want to assure you that therapy with me is a mutual effort. We will move at the pace you decide is best and work toward goals that you have identified.
My priority is helping you reduce your symptoms and reach your goals. If my style aligns with your needs, I encourage you to schedule a phone consultation. We can discuss your situation, address any questions you have, and determine whether we’ll be a good fit for each other.

Therapy FAQs
+ What sorts of issues do you see in couples?
I've helped couples with all types of issues, and I'm highly experience in couples therapy that address infidelity, anxiety, and addictions.
Many couples experience infidelity. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your relationship is unfixable or over.
Though it can be difficult to rebuild trust after experiencing infidelity, it is possible. I help couples build on their relationship’s strengths and teach new ways of relating in order to move forward.
I also help couples with anxiety. Anxiety impacts every area of a person’s life--including their relationships. People with anxiety may be plagued with thoughts like, “Does my partner really love me?” They may also be more sensitive to others, causing tension in the relationship. Conversely, the partner without anxiety may struggle to know how best to support their loved one.
I help couples gain clarity around how anxiety affects their relationship and how they can work with it, not against it. The couples I work with leave therapy with a greater understanding of each other and themselves.
Due to my extensive experience in addictions counseling, I understand the serious impacts anxiety can have on a relationship. I have specialized training in helping people navigate their recovery process.
I provide couples with the support to openly discuss how addiction affects their dynamic. I strive to create a space without judgment or stigma so that both individuals feel comfortable being open and honest.
+ Do I really need counseling? Can’t I just talk to a friend?
I believe that everyone can benefit from speaking with a therapist.
While it is helpful to have supportive family and friends to confide in, this is not the same as counseling. Therapists have extensive education and experience supporting people with a variety of issues.
I have helped individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges for over a decade. I also have specialized training in different areas of treatment, including addiction, anxiety, and highly sensitive people. Counseling is more than just talking about problems. We’ll work together to find sustainable solutions that work for your lifestyle.
It can be difficult to be open with family and friends because we worry about what they think or how our words affect them. However, therapy is an opportunity to let yourself be completely vulnerable. I create a safe, trusting environment for you to openly express yourself.
+ How do I know which therapist is right for me?
There are many important considerations when selecting a therapist. Location is an essential factor to account for. I am a therapist in Los Angeles, CA and would be happy to meet with you if you live in the area. Furthermore, I provide virtual sessions so you can access high-quality treatment from the comfort of your own home, regardless of where you’re located in California.
It’s also important to consider your therapist’s specialties and qualifications. I have extensive training and experience providing therapy for couples, as well as individuals dealing with anxiety, dating and relationship problems, and issues related to being a highly sensitive person.
If you need support with one of these issues, I encourage you to schedule a consultation. We can discuss your unique situation and how I can help you.
+ What will we discuss in therapy?
Everyone’s therapy experience is unique to them. However, there are common themes that often come up during my work with individuals and couples.
Of course, we will talk about the issues that have caused you to seek therapy. Beyond that, we will discuss how we can expand upon your existing strengths and supports. We will also incorporate new coping strategies and explore alternative solutions.
Keep in mind that this is a general framework of the therapy process. Our work together is collaborative, and I will customize your treatment depending on your needs and preferences.
My Specialties as a Psychotherapist in Los Angeles
I have experience in helping people with a variety of different problems. Read on for more information about the issues I specialize in treating.
Counseling for Highly Sensitive People
Highly sensitive people (HSP) are exactly that--individuals who tend to be more attuned to their surroundings. These people have extra-sensitive nervous systems, making them more vulnerable to feelings of overwhelm and emotional reactivity. While this can be exhausting, I believe that a person’s sensitivity can also be their strength. I help HSP own this trait and increase their ability to cope with the world around them.

Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health issues that people deal with. However, this does not mean that you have to continue suffering. Anxiety is highly treatable. My approach to therapy is solutions-focused, so I help people reduce their symptoms and regain control over their life. Together, we will identify the small ways that you already combat your anxiety and explore how we can expand upon those. We will also discuss new coping strategies and relaxation techniques that work for you and your lifestyle. Interested in learning more about how I can help you feel more at peace? Counseling for Dating & Relationship Issues
You don’t need to be currently seeing someone in order to benefit from relationship counseling. In fact, your time as a single person is an excellent opportunity to seek therapy.
Many people struggle with their love life. Whether you’re having trouble connecting with potential partners, unsure about what you want in a relationship, or just frustrated with dating in general, therapy can help. I’ve helped many clients as they process a break-up. Other clients struggling with relationship issues have benefited from our exploring how they select partners and how to not repeat previous relationships.

Dating Coaching
If you’re tired of the dating scene and feel like you’re not meeting the right people, you may benefit from the help of a dating coach. During sessions, we’ll discuss what you’re really looking for in a partner and things that are holding you back from meeting that person. We’ll set goals and come up with an action plan to get you meeting people who you truly connect with. Read more about my approach to dating coaching.
